In the 2nd minute, Afonso Pinheiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Clube Atletico Alagoano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Antônio Carlos Gerber fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clube Atletico Alagoano's protests and gave Antônio Carlos Gerber a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Clube Atletico Alagoano's Antônio Carlos Gerber got a free kick in the 6th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narciso Terra in the 8th minute of play forced Clube Atletico Alagoano's goalkeeper Arnaldo de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Félix's late challenge caught a Oncas SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João Félix helped the player get up and apologised. In the 11th match minute, Clube Atletico Alagoano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Félix to maneuver through the defense. Marquinhos Vergílio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Afonso Pinheiro's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Carlos Urbano in the 17th minute of play forced Oncas SC's goalkeeper Marquinhos Vergílio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Oncas SC's goalkeeper Marquinhos Vergílio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 25 minutes Oncas SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was João Félix who took care of the corner kick. In the 27th minute Clube Atletico Alagoano were awarded a corner. João Félix went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that João Félix got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marquinhos Vergílio quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 32 minutes into the match, Afonso Pinheiro notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Oncas SC's Marquinhos Vergílio. Marquinhos Vergílio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Pinheiro in the 40th minute of play forced Oncas SC's goalkeeper Marquinhos Vergílio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Afonso Pinheiro scored 0-3 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marquinhos Vergílio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Clube Atletico Alagoano were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

With a little luck, Oncas SC's Marquinhos Vergílio got control of the ball when Afonso Pinheiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 65 minutes of play, Clube Atletico Alagoano's Afonso Pinheiro made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marquinhos Vergílio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marquinhos Vergílio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Afonso Pinheiro in the 71st minute. Marquinhos Vergílio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Carlos Urbano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 79 minutes into the game, when Alan Rezende put in a rough tackle. In the 80th match minute, Oncas SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Rezende to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute, João Félix sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Oncas SC's Marquinhos Vergílio didn't even have to move. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Carlos Urbano in the 83rd minute of play forced Oncas SC's goalkeeper Marquinhos Vergílio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The attack was good, but when Afonso Pinheiro in the 84th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After 88th play minutes Afonso Pinheiro shot 0-8, a short shot which went by Marquinhos Vergílio and just under the crossbar into goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Afonso Pinheiro got free with Marquinhos Vergílio in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dorian Braga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Clube Atletico Alagoano's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
