Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Guaianas SC's Zé de Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juvenal Leite in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Matos in the 4th minute of play forced Guaianas SC's goalkeeper Zé de Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Quadros kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. The goalkeeper, Eliézer Reis, was totally fooled by Guaianas SC's Tadeu França, who 12 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Zé de Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 16th match minute, Guaianas SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamílton Pires to maneuver through the defense. Marcus Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé de Castro having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juvenal Leite in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé de Castro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carlos Fernando Amaral struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Eliézer Reis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guaianas SC. After 27 minutes, Marcus Matos made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Guaianas SC's Zé de Castro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Carlos Fernando Amaral hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Carlos Fernando Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The referee showed Hamílton Pires the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 72 played minutes, Guaianas SC's Tadeu França shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eliézer Reis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Guaianas SC reached it. In the 75th minute, Luisão Moraes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eliézer Reis was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After a rather tough play, Guaianas SC's Hamílton Pires got a free kick in the 79th minute. The supporters of Guaianas SC booed when Formigas SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dedê Romero didn't get a good kick on the ball.
