The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Berth Amanuensis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Pela Porco getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Lino Queirós hit a great ball. Glauco Lago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Soeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Luiz Gustavo Bertassi hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 17th minute by Damaso Boni got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Berth Amanuensis might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Glauco Lago. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Berth Amanuensis ran back to his position shaking his head. Glauco Lago didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 26th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Sydney Zilles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabinho Domingues, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Angelo Damião fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Glauco Lago having to interfere. Sydney Zilles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rony Custódio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Berth Amanuensis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Glauco Lago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabinho Domingues stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Real Capixaba got a freekick which was hit by Narciso Linares. Narciso Linares hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Glauco Lago stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Angelo Damião's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabinho Domingues in the 63rd minute of play forced Real Capixaba's goalkeeper Sydney Zilles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Berth Amanuensis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Glauco Lago having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Pela Porco's Lino Queirós got a free kick in the 66th minute. If Berth Amanuensis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Angelo Damião in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Glauco Lago saved Pela Porco from getting behind. Angelo Damião's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Glauco Lago read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Abel Soeiro struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Glauco Lago didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Capixaba. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gualter Tasso during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 77 played minutes Pela Porco got a freekick which was hit by Gualter Tasso. 78 minutes into the match, Pela Porco's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Damião came free, but Glauco Lago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Real Capixaba's Berth Amanuensis got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Enio Xavier's late challenge caught a Pela Porco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enio Xavier helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Real Capixaba getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Enio Xavier hit a great ball. Sydney Zilles was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Luiz Gustavo Bertassi. When Berth Amanuensis came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Real Capixaba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Berth Amanuensis couldn't finish the play. 95 minutes into the game, Angelo Damião cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Glauco Lago was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Real Capixaba had played much better football throughout.
