Tuive's Paulo Renato Valladares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateus Schmidt in the 3rd minute of play. In the 4th match minute, Pontinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateus Schmidt to maneuver through the defense. When Noel Passos came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Tuive fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Noel Passos couldn't finish the play. Paulo Renato Valladares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano Rosado, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Róbson Montenegro hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. When Dorival Hermes fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pontinha's protests and gave Dorival Hermes a yellow card for diving instead. 14 minutes into the game, one of Pontinha:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 16th minute of the game, Tuive got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post. After having played for 21 minutes, Aloísio de Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tuive's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aloísio de Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Tuive booed when Pontinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorival Hermes didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Júlio Passos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Dorival Hermes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Júlio Passos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luiz Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noel Passos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Aloísio de Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tuive's supporters rose to their feet, but Aloísio de Brito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Vale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Júlio Passos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luiz Vale having to make a save. Paulo Renato Valladares came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Pontinha's Caetano Rosado. But to his dismay, Caetano Rosado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 43rd minute, Júlio Passos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Caetano Rosado made a kick off. Luiz Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aloísio de Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 58 minutes into the match, Júlio Passos notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Pontinha's Luiz Vale. Luiz Vale was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Róbson Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Vale having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mateus Schmidt got free with Paulo Renato Valladares in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Júlio Passos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Tuive's Júlio Passos in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pontinha's goalie prevented a goal. Luiz Vale didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nereo Manny went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Júlio Passos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Júlio Passos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luiz Vale read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Tuive's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pontinha the free kick. In the 97th minute, Aloísio de Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
