In the 23rdth minute of the game Jonas Meireles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trucu AD's Ciro de Lima was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nilton Cruz struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Ciro de Lima didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BNH FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Meireles in the 26th minute of play forced Trucu AD's goalkeeper Ciro de Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Abelardo Meirelles fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trucu AD's protests and gave Abelardo Meirelles a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Trucu AD's Abelardo Meirelles got a free kick in the 30th minute. Ciro de Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Meireles, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After having played for 45 minutes, Jonas Meireles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BNH FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonas Meireles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Jonas Meireles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicolas Ceresso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Gláuber Borges fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trucu AD's protests and gave Gláuber Borges a yellow card for diving instead. In the 67th match minute, Trucu AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gláuber Borges to maneuver through the defense. After 70th play minutes Nilton Cruz shot 3-3, a short shot which went by Ciro de Lima and just under the crossbar into goal. If Jonas Meireles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonas Meireles might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ciro de Lima. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jonas Meireles ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 4-4 when Jonas Meireles sped through Trucu AD's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ciro de Lima. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonas Meireles in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ciro de Lima prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 88th minute, Jonas Meireles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, BNH FC's Adolfo Moreira got control of the ball when Artur Marques tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the BNH FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
