With a little luck, Cangonhal AD's Leonel Vidal got control of the ball when Germano Galvão tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sydney Queirós hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, Rafael da Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dedé Luz made a kick off. Pedrinho Prestes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Abelardo Gonçalves when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Wiliam Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Vidal having to interfere. Caraguatal's Germano Galvão got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pedrinho Prestes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonel Vidal came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Caraguatal's Germano Galvão. But to his dismay, Germano Galvão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Dedé Luz struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Abelardo Gonçalves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cangonhal AD. Dedé Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Gonçalves having to interfere. Leonel Vidal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wiliam Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute.
