After 7 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Angelim SC! Ernani Lima had in the 8thth minute some difficulties stopping Laércio Madureira's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Laércio Madureira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ernani Lima. Angelim SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Laércio Madureira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Ernani Lima didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 19th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. Rafael da Costa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Ernani Lima skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Angelim SC's Ernani Lima proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Angelim SC from getting a goal against them. 30 minutes in the game, Germano Galvão fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ernani Lima having to interfere. Ernani Lima stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Luiz Meirelles's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Germano Galvão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 34th minute Pedro Luiz Meirelles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernani Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th match minute, Caraguatal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Luiz Meirelles to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 38 minutes, Pedro Luiz Meirelles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caraguatal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Luiz Meirelles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Luiz Meirelles in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ernani Lima saved Angelim SC from getting behind. With a little luck, Angelim SC's Ernani Lima got control of the ball when Germano Galvão tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Claudinho Maia to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Pedro Luiz Meirelles cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Ernani Lima was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Germano Galvão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 56 played minutes Angelim SC got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Brito. Germano Galvão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 59th minute Pedro Luiz Meirelles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernani Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernani Lima didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedro Luiz Meirelles went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to Angelim SC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Gildo Mattos hit a great ball. Ernani Lima came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Caraguatal's Pedro Luiz Meirelles. But to his dismay, Pedro Luiz Meirelles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Ernani Lima didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedro Luiz Meirelles went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. In the 76th minute Germano Galvão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernani Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernani Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luiz Meirelles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ernani Lima didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Germano Galvão went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. Wiliam Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Pedro Luiz Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute, Júlio Bastos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Durval Madureira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee ended the match the Caraguatal players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
