Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Porto Seguro SC's Falcão Bertassi started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Porto Seguro SC's Juninho Rezende proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Porto Seguro SC from getting a goal against them. Juninho Rezende made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Cléberson Linhares sent off a good shot on target. Fernandinho Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. After having played for 10 minutes, Cléberson Linhares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trindade EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cléberson Linhares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cléberson Linhares struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Juninho Rezende didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trindade EC. In the 16th minute, Trindade EC's Reginaldo de Andrade ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Juninho Rezende. Juninho Rezende yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 20 minutes into the match, Porto Seguro SC's goalkeeper Juninho Rezende had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reginaldo de Andrade. Cléberson Linhares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Juninho Rezende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juninho Rezende didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Trindade EC's Reginaldo de Andrade shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. After a defensive mix-up in Trindade EC's zone, Falcão Bertassi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Paulo Gomes came out of the goal and Falcão Bertassi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 29 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Carvalho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Luís Paulo Gomes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 35 minutes into the match, Porto Seguro SC's goalkeeper Juninho Rezende had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cléberson Linhares. Juninho Rezende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reginaldo de Andrade in the 39th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 44 minutes, Juninho Rezende successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Rodrigo Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Reginaldo de Andrade was the one to do the kick off. Breno Barbosa hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Trindade EC's Luís Paulo Gomes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Falcão Bertassi in the 56th minute of play. The supporters of Trindade EC booed when Porto Seguro SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Durval Recife didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Trindade EC's Luizinho Rosado tried to score from far away in the 62nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Rodrigo Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Luís Paulo Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute Falcão Bertassi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Paulo Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chiquinho de Godoy charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chiquinho de Godoy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 75th minute, Chiquinho de Godoy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th minute, Rodrigo Carvalho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alberto Cruz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 83rd minute Reginaldo de Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juninho Rezende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reginaldo de Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Juninho Rezende was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Trindade EC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
