Bras SC's Jaime Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeu Negri in the 10th minute of play. André Luís Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jânio Arantes having to interfere. Sidney Arruda who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Jânio Arantes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 17th match minute, AGUIA DO VALE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinei Ramos to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Bras SC's Remo Dionísio tried to score from far away in the 18th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 21 minutes, Claudinei Ramos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AGUIA DO VALE and the Bras SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st match minute, AGUIA DO VALE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinei Ramos to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Luís Cordeiro in the 22nd minute of play forced AGUIA DO VALE's goalkeeper Jânio Arantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. AGUIA DO VALE's Jânio Arantes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save AGUIA DO VALE from getting a goal against them. Sidney Arruda's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Jânio Arantes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jânio Arantes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fernando Gaúcho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedro Augusto Diniz made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in AGUIA DO VALE's zone, André Luís Cordeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jânio Arantes came out of the goal and André Luís Cordeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 59 minutes into the match, AGUIA DO VALE's goal looked a bit too open when André Luís Cordeiro came free, but Jânio Arantes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Sidney Arruda came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Bras SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sidney Arruda couldn't finish the play. 69 minutes into the game, André Luís Cordeiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Jânio Arantes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 73rd minute, André Luís Cordeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Bras SC's André Luís Cordeiro in 76 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Jânio Arantes guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. If André Luís Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 84 minutes, Remo Dionísio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bras SC and the AGUIA DO VALE players grew even worse after the yellow card. Amadeu Negri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the AGUIA DO VALE defense, André Luís Cordeiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jânio Arantes. The AGUIA DO VALE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jânio Arantes should have stopped the shot. 93 minutes into the match, AGUIA DO VALE's goal looked a bit too open when Sidney Arruda came free, but Jânio Arantes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If André Luís Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Bras SC booed when AGUIA DO VALE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clemente Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Bras SC fully deserved thier win.
