Piraju's Reginaldo Donato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Meireles in the 53rd minute of play. Fernando Trancoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Toscano having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonas Maia got free with Reginaldo Donato in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luís Guilherme Pombal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Reginaldo Donato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Piraju defense, Luís Guilherme Pombal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reginaldo Donato. The Piraju fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reginaldo Donato should have stopped the shot. Fred Toscano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Trancoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Piraju fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Flaouro Esporte Clube were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
