The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the game, one of Capoeiral:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 9th minute, Nelsinho Abreu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Murilo Teles was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Adelino Vaz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Fabiano Velasco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. In the 18thth minute of the game Nelsinho Abreu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Capoeiral's Murilo Teles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Didi Bertassi notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Capoeiral's Murilo Teles. Murilo Teles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nelsinho Abreu got free with Murilo Teles in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nelsinho Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nelsinho Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Murilo Teles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Bora getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Luís Fábio Pires hit a great ball. Luís Fábio Pires helped the player get up and apologised. After 80 played minutes Bora got a freekick which was hit by Luís Fábio Pires. Murilo Teles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Didi Bertassi in the 82nd minute of play. Nelsinho Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bora's Nelsinho Abreu got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Capoeiral's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Didi Bertassi 90 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-6. Murilo Teles made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Nelsinho Abreu sent off a good shot on target. In the 95th minute, Capoeiral's Yan Lara seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Yan Lara the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Capoeiral protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Yan Lara had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 95th minute, one of Capoeiral:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Capoeiral. Bora's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
