Jairo Miranda really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After having played for 9 minutes, Zé Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gerencia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Antunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Túlio Travassos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jonathan das Neves showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 12 minute of play. In the 16th minute Caetano Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Túlio Travassos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Esperança.F.C's Jairo Miranda got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 29 minutes into the match, Gerencia's goal looked a bit too open when João Vítor Dias came free, but Túlio Travassos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute, João Vítor Dias left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Esperança.F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Miranda in the 34th minute of play forced Gerencia's goalkeeper Túlio Travassos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerencia were furious when Chicão Coelho was red carded, 36 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 36th match minute, Gerencia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chicão Coelho to maneuver through the defense. Gerencia's Túlio Travassos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Vale in the 38th minute of play. Túlio Travassos made an important save on a dangerous shot by André Luiz França in the 39th minute. After 40 played minutes Esperança.F.C got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan das Neves. If Alessandro Galvão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 51 played minutes Gerencia got a freekick which was hit by Alessandro Galvão. Túlio Travassos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jairo Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edgar de Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 55th minute of the match Otávio Senna shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Túlio Travassos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Esperança.F.C booed when Gerencia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessandro Galvão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling André Luiz França in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Túlio Travassos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Vítor Dias in the 60th minute of play forced Gerencia's goalkeeper Túlio Travassos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerencia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that André Luiz França was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Túlio Travassos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Gerencia's Túlio Travassos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Luiz França in the 90th minute of play. Túlio Travassos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Vítor Dias in the 92nd minute of play. André Luiz França might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Túlio Travassos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. André Luiz França ran back to his position shaking his head. Esperança.F.C walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
