Bahia FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Richard Lira 8 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. 12 minutes into the game, Richard Lira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sertel Dündaroğlu. Richard Lira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Richard Lira got free with Sertel Dündaroğlu in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 22nd minute, Cosso EC's Gino Martins ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sertel Dündaroğlu. Sertel Dündaroğlu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Osmar Vergílio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Rodriguinho de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodriguinho de Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldinho Mineiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Gerson Quintal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Sertel Dündaroğlu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Ronaldinho Mineiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bahia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronaldinho Mineiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodriguinho de Alcântara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Osmar Vergílio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Rodriguinho de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute Ronaldinho Mineiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodriguinho de Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christian Dantas's late challenge caught a Bahia FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christian Dantas helped the player get up and apologised. 43 minutes into the match, Cosso EC's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldinho Mineiro came free, but Rodriguinho de Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Ronaldinho Mineiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osmar Vergílio in the 46th minute of play forced Cosso EC's goalkeeper Rodriguinho de Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 47 minutes, Sérgio Melo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bahia FC and the Cosso EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Cosso EC booed when Bahia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sérgio Melo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Osmar Vergílio to strike the kick off in the second half. After 56th play minutes Osmar Vergílio shot 3-1, a short shot which went by Rodriguinho de Alcântara and just under the crossbar into goal. Cosso EC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 63rd minute, when Ronaldinho Mineiro scored to the left of an out of position Rodriguinho de Alcântara, making the score, 3-2. Osmar Vergílio struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Rodriguinho de Alcântara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bahia FC. This resulted in a 3-4 score and a disappointed Rodriguinho de Alcântara as he didn't even see the shot coming. An unexpected shot in the 84th minute by Ronaldinho Mineiro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Rodriguinho de Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osmar Vergílio in the 95th minute of the match. Bahia FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
