Guto Fantini who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Natanael de Lara when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Yan Braga hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Serio SS's Natanael de Lara got control of the ball when Guto Fantini tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 13th match minute, Serio SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adriano Freitas to maneuver through the defense. One of Portel:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Serio SS:s goal. Adhemar Breckenfeld placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! If Gláuber Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If David Loyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the match, Portel's goal looked a bit too open when Gláuber Peres came free, but Válter Alagoano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claudinei Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Válter Alagoano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gláuber Peres in the 34th minute of the match. Claudinei Valle got his second yellow card in the match during the 34th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. When David Loyola came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Serio SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Loyola couldn't finish the play. David Loyola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Serio SS's zone, Guto Fantini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Natanael de Lara came out of the goal and Guto Fantini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Válter Alagoano was a little too slow when David Loyola got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 52nd minute. The score was now 0-2. Válter Alagoano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Loyola in the 60th minute of play. David Loyola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Válter Alagoano having to interfere. Gláuber Peres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Válter Alagoano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute, one of Portel:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Portel. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Guto Fantini managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portel's supporters rose to their feet, but Guto Fantini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Natanael de Lara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 79th minute, Serio SS's David Loyola ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Válter Alagoano. Válter Alagoano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Samuca Toledo during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Portel getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Samuca Toledo hit a great ball. Gláuber Peres's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Válter Alagoano skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Samuca Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Samuca Toledo was shown his second yellow card after 90 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 92nd match minute, Portel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuca Toledo to maneuver through the defense. 97 minutes into the match, Portel's goalkeeper Válter Alagoano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gláuber Peres. Serio SS played a much better game than Portel and deserved their victory. The Portel players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
