An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernani Félix in the 3rd minute of play forced Arenosa SS's goalkeeper Giovani Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 4 minutes into the game, Providencia's Tony Teixeira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Giovani Pinheiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Giovani Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernani Félix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Giovani Pinheiro was a little too slow when Rômulo Trancoso got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 2-0. Hernani Félix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovani Pinheiro having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Tony Teixeira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Giovani Pinheiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Tony Teixeira took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Giovani Pinheiro. Giovani Pinheiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Hernani Félix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Giovani Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Arenosa SS's goalkeeper Giovani Pinheiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tony Teixeira. If Hernani Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes into the match, Arenosa SS's goal looked a bit too open when Hernani Félix came free, but Giovani Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tony Teixeiras short, quick shot in the 48thth minute got Giovani Pinheiro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hernani Félix was the one to do the kick off. Tony Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Giovani Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70thth minute of the game Hernani Félix who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arenosa SS's Giovani Pinheiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Giovani Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tony Teixeira in the 81st minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Hernani Félix ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Giovani Pinheiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. In the 86th minute, Hernani Félix made a precise shot to the right of Giovani Pinheiro. Arenosa SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. After having played for 91 minutes, Hernani Félix managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Providencia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hernani Félix was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 94th minute, Tony Teixeira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Providencia's Hernani Félix in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Arenosa SS's goalie prevented a goal.
