Frédson Simão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anísio Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frédson Simão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anísio Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 11th minute of the match Arthur Borges sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frédson Simão skillfully saved the ball. In the 12th minute Cleiton Koehler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frédson Simão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Anísio Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the match, Itamatare FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cleiton Koehler came free, but Frédson Simão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Itamatare FC's Gerson Tinoco got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Renato Favoretto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Pedro Freire, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. João Pedro Freire struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Renato Favoretto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itamatare FC. After 38 played minutes Midgard FC got a freekick which was hit by Tiago do Valle. Frédson Simão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cleiton Koehler in the 47th minute of the match. The Itamatare FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Midgard FC were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cleiton Koehler was the one to do the kick off. Anísio Sousa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 53 in the game by Anísio Sousa from a close distance when the talented Frédson Simão managed to make a qualified save. Itamatare FC's players were relieved. When Benjamim Pena fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Itamatare FC's protests and gave Benjamim Pena a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th match minute, Itamatare FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamim Pena to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute, Cleiton Koehler reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Frédson Simão. The goal made the score 0-3. With his leg Frédson Simão managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when Midgard FC's Anísio Sousa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Anísio Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 71st minute, Itamatare FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Anísio Sousa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Anísio Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Frédson Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Frédson Simão managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Midgard FC's Anísio Sousa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, Itamatare FC's Frédson Simão got control of the ball when Anísio Sousa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Benjamim Pena kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Anísio Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match was over Midgard FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Itamatare FC throughout the match.
