Dráuzio Pires's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Renato Catarinense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Mirahy's Renato Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laerte Botelho in the 40th minute of play. Thiago Leme struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Breno Meirelles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mirahy. If Joélson Tepedino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Thiago Leme to strike the kick off in the second half. Renato Catarinense acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 56th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Elias Tinoco. Wiliam Mangueira charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wiliam Mangueira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mirahy's Renato Catarinense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Mirahy from getting a goal against them. Corinthians FC's Dráuzio Pires got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Corinthians FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joélson Tepedino came free, but Breno Meirelles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 91 minutes, Edinho Nunes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Corinthians FC and the Mirahy players grew even worse after the yellow card.
