When Edu Saraiva came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the MalibuFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edu Saraiva couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Edu Saraiva put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Afonsinho Trigo. In the 21st minute, Beto Ramos fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 25th minute, MalibuFC's Edu Saraiva dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Inácio Damião sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th match minute, MalibuFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo José Senna to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the game, Leonel do Nascimento cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Magnus Engström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Inácio Damião received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Afonsinho Trigo came out and tried to block the shot, but Inácio Damião slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 45th minute.

If Edu Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Inácio Damião sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th minute Edu Saraiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonsinho Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edu Saraiva took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Afonsinho Trigo. Afonsinho Trigo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Magnus Engström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel do Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Inácio Damião received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Afonsinho Trigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cesinha Cruz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Magnus Engström made a huge save.
