The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sidnei Macedo during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Jitauna AD booed when Tarquinho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sidnei Macedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Jitauna AD's zone, Geovani Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hugo de Godoy came out of the goal and Geovani Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oswaldo Almeida could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Hugo de Godoy made a huge save. Geovani Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Téo Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th play minute Oswaldo Almeida came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Hugo de Godoy. 1-0. Oswaldo Almeida's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Hugo de Godoy firmly grabbed it by the left post. Geovani Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo de Godoy having to interfere. Geovani Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jitauna AD's Hugo de Godoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovani Silva in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Tarquinho FC's goal looked a bit too open when Téo Aguiar came free, but Ricardo Maranhense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Yuri Branco fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tarquinho FC's protests and gave Yuri Branco a yellow card for diving instead. Dráuzio Saldanha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Tarquinho FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Sidnei Macedo hit a great ball. Ricardo Maranhense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dráuzio Saldanha's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Téo Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Ricardo Maranhense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardo Maranhense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Téo Aguiar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Téo Aguiar struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Ricardo Maranhense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jitauna AD. In the 47th minute Téo Aguiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Maranhense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Dráuzio Saldanha made the kick off in the second half. Oswaldo Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
