The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Fabiano de Almeida couldn't finish the play. Fausto FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galo Futebol Show™ the free kick. The supporters of Galo Futebol Show™ booed when Fausto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafim Neto didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Vitinho Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 61 played minutes Galo Futebol Show™ got a freekick which was hit by Zé dos Santos. In the 65th minute Rui Guimarães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gláuber Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Fausto FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Alexsandro Vides hit a great ball. Arnaldo Košnik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Rui Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Alexsandro Vides fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fausto FC's protests and gave Alexsandro Vides a yellow card for diving instead. Alexsandro Vides hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After 86 played minutes Fausto FC got a freekick which was hit by Régis da Cunha. Gilberto Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Régis da Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fausto FC's Régis da Cunha got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fausto FC's Gláuber Salles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Fausto FC from getting a goal against them. In the 95th match minute, Galo Futebol Show™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Figueiredo to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 96 minutes, Régis da Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fausto FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Régis da Cunha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
