Spectators: 7203 (Terracing: 5404, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Pedrão Monteiro started the match with the kick off. SHAKHTAR DONETSK's Rudolf Middel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubinho Queiroz in the 3rd minute of play. 4 minutes into the match, SHAKHTAR DONETSK's goal looked a bit too open when Flavinho Prata came free, but Rudolf Middel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rubinho Queiroz struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Rudolf Middel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Preta SC. If Flavinho Prata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, SHAKHTAR DONETSK's Marian Boruta got a free kick in the 14th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubinho Queiroz in the 19th minute of play forced SHAKHTAR DONETSK's goalkeeper Rudolf Middel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciro da Silveira charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ciro da Silveira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Preta SC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Ciro da Silveira hit a great ball. Rudolf Middel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavinho Prata in the 24th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rubinho Queiroz in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rudolf Middel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zézinho Senna hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. A collision led to Preta SC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Flavinho Prata hit a great ball. In the 31st minute Rubinho Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rudolf Middel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Flavinho Prata's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rudolf Middel was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Rudolf Middel came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Preta SC's Rubinho Queiroz. But to his dismay, Rubinho Queiroz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 39 played minutes, Preta SC's Zé Pedro Coelho shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rudolf Middel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Preta SC reached it. Rubinho Queiroz took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rudolf Middel. Rudolf Middel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 44thth minute of the game Flavinho Prata who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SHAKHTAR DONETSK's Rudolf Middel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 45 minutes into the game, Vivaldo de Azevedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SHAKHTAR DONETSK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Preta SC the free kick. After a rather tough play, SHAKHTAR DONETSK's Vivaldo de Azevedo got a free kick in the 45th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rubinho Queiroz was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind SHAKHTAR DONETSK's goalkeeper Rudolf Middel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rudolf Middel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubinho Queiroz in the 61st minute of the match. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind SHAKHTAR DONETSK's goalkeeper Rudolf Middel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marian Boruta hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rubinho Queiroz in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rudolf Middel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rudolf Middel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Flavinho Prata in the 71st minute. After 72 played minutes SHAKHTAR DONETSK got a freekick which was hit by Vivaldo de Azevedo. With his leg Rudolf Middel managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Preta SC's Flavinho Prata fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Flavinho Prata recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80th match minute, SHAKHTAR DONETSK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedrão Monteiro to maneuver through the defense. Flavinho Prata could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Rudolf Middel made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Rubinho Queiroz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rudolf Middel. That made the score 0-4 in the 90 minute of play. After a rather tough play, SHAKHTAR DONETSK's Júlio Maia got a free kick in the 94th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Preta SC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
