Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dário de Amorim started the match with the kick off. André Luiz de Andrade did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Alberto Vidal 4 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute, Dário de Amorim left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mariquioca AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. If André Luiz de Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Alberto Vidal managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Arikemes SS's Simão Rezende fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. André Luiz de Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Vidal having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Luiz de Andrade in the 24th minute of play forced Mariquioca AD's goalkeeper Alberto Vidal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Arikemes SS's zone, Dário de Amorim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oséas Tasso came out of the goal and Dário de Amorim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dário de Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Oséas Tasso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Mariquioca AD's goalkeeper Alberto Vidal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Simão Rezende. After a rather tough play, Mariquioca AD's José Vítor Leal got a free kick in the 34th minute. Simão Rezende's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alberto Vidal firmly grabbed it by the left post. Alberto Vidal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Luiz de Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Simão Rezende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Mariquioca AD's Alberto Vidal got control of the ball when Simão Rezende tried to sneak it across the goal line. André Luiz de Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and André Luiz de Andrade made a kick off. Alberto Vidal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simão Rezende, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When André Luiz de Andrade came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Arikemes SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Luiz de Andrade couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Luiz de Andrade in the 62nd minute of play forced Mariquioca AD's goalkeeper Alberto Vidal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. André Luiz de Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alberto Vidal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simão Rezende, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Arikemes SS's attack was well implemented in the 88th minute, but when André Luiz de Andrade was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Mariquioca AD's Dário de Amorim got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Reginaldo Chavess short, quick shot in the 95thth minute got Oséas Tasso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
