Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when André Luiz de Andrade got the match started through his kick off. When Cipriano Almeida came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Misercordia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cipriano Almeida couldn't finish the play. 6 minutes into the game, Dedé Guimarães was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Misercordia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arikemes SS the free kick. 11 minutes into the match, Misercordia's goal looked a bit too open when André Luiz de Andrade came free, but Dé Zilles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute, Silvinho Eger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Misercordia's Dedé Guimarães shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 19th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Oséas Tasso but with some difficulty. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Paulo Dracena during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. André Luiz de Andrade recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Paulo Dracena hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Amorim in the 32nd minute of play forced Arikemes SS's goalkeeper Oséas Tasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th match minute, Misercordia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusébio Nogueira to maneuver through the defense. Dé Zilles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simão Rezende in the 37th minute of play. The audience was convinced that André Luiz de Andrade's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dé Zilles was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. In the 40th minute André Luiz de Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dé Zilles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Misercordia's goalkeeper Dé Zilles, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oscar Amorim was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Misercordia's zone, Simão Rezende stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dé Zilles came out of the goal and Simão Rezende tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Simão Rezende could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Dé Zilles made a huge save. Oséas Tasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After 59 played minutes Arikemes SS got a freekick which was hit by Silvinho Eger. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eusébio Nogueira in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oséas Tasso saved Arikemes SS from getting behind. Eusébio Nogueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Oséas Tasso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Arikemes SS's André Luiz de Andrade sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dé Zilles narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 72 minutes, Dadá Reis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arikemes SS and the Misercordia players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 72 played minutes Arikemes SS got a freekick which was hit by Dadá Reis. In the 74th minute, Eusébio Nogueira made a precise shot to the right of Oséas Tasso. Arikemes SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The supporters of Arikemes SS booed when Misercordia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manfredo Pitta didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute, André Luiz de Andrade got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 87th play minute Simão Rezende came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dé Zilles. 1-2. Oséas Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Amorim in the 90th minute of play. Dé Zilles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Luiz de Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Arikemes SS had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
