Guayanas
Spectators: 6673 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Carlos Fernando Varela kicked off to start the match. Dito Terra hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Itaiobaia's Arnaldo Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Fernando Varela in the 12th minute of play. After 14 minutes, Sabino Nogueira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itaiobaia and the Guayanas players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Sabino Nogueira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edu Dias was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Tostão Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Edu Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Paulo Netto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sabino Nogueira took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edu Dias. Edu Dias dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Edu Dias came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Itaiobaia's Juan Castro. But to his dismay, Juan Castro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Guayanas's Edu Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cauan de Godoy in the 45th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Cauan de Godoy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edu Dias. Guayanas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cauan de Godoy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3.

Sabino Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cauan de Godoy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Edu Dias made a huge save. Cauan de Godoy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edu Dias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Guayanas's goal looked a bit too open when Tostão Queiroz came free, but Edu Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guayanas's goalkeeper Edu Dias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Edu Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Paulo Netto, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Juan Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Itaiobaia getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Juan Castro hit a great ball. Edu Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Paulo Netto in the 77th minute of play. In the 81st minute of the game Cafu da Mata made a throw-in which Ernani Veiga played forward. In the 84th match minute, Guayanas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cafu da Mata to maneuver through the defense. 86 minutes into the match, Guayanas's goal looked a bit too open when Sabino Nogueira came free, but Edu Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 89 minutes in the game, Zé Paulo Netto fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Edu Dias having to interfere. After having played for 93 minutes, Zé Paulo Netto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itaiobaia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Paulo Netto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sabino Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the final whistle sounded Itaiobaia left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Guayanas.
