Spectators: 6641 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1641, VIP seats: 0) Mustangs FC's Ian Eger started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Guayanas's Mazinho Brasil got a free kick in the 10th minute. Mustangs FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Carlos Fernando Varela 13 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. The supporters of Guayanas booed when Mustangs FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cláudio Valladares didn't get a good kick on the ball. The wind increased when Carlos Fernando Varela made the kick off in the second half. After 59 played minutes, Mustangs FC's Oséias Gaspar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Edu Dias came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line.
