Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Cacá Pena got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of SER GUARANI SC booed when Iara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrianinho Xavier didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 11 played minutes Iara got a freekick which was hit by Basílio Vianna. In the 19th match minute, SER GUARANI SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonij Živkovski to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute, Rubens Batista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lino Campidelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Zé Roberto Ferraz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th match minute, Iara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Augusto de Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. When Célio Aparecido fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Iara's protests and gave Célio Aparecido a yellow card for diving instead. Zé Roberto Ferraz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lino Campidelis went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in SER GUARANI SC's zone, Waldir Goiano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonsinho Rosado came out of the goal and Waldir Goiano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Lino Campidelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zé Roberto Ferraz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubens Batista in the 38th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lino Campidelis in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Roberto Ferraz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Waldir Goiano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Waldir Goiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 51st minute, Rubens Batista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Rubens Batista kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zé Roberto Ferraz. That made the score 0-3 in the 56 minute of play. Víktor Silva might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Afonsinho Rosado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Víktor Silva ran back to his position shaking his head. Lino Campidelis took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zé Roberto Ferraz. Zé Roberto Ferraz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. After a rather tough play, Iara's Carlos Augusto de Carvalho got a free kick in the 71st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogério Trevisan in the 80th minute of play forced SER GUARANI SC's goalkeeper Afonsinho Rosado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lino Campidelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Zé Roberto Ferraz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lino Campidelis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Zé Roberto Ferraz made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Iara's zone, Rubens Batista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Roberto Ferraz came out of the goal and Rubens Batista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cacá Pena's late challenge caught a Iara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cacá Pena helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th match minute, SER GUARANI SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cacá Pena to maneuver through the defense. SER GUARANI SC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
