After 18 minutes of play, Barça de Munich's Claudinho Madureira made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fred Pombal was left in no man's land by his defense there! Per-Olof Pilberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Alberto de Mendonça in the 27th minute of play forced Barça de Munich's goalkeeper Olívio Lira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Per-Olof Pilberg in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fred Pombal, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Orlando Araújo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barça de Munich's supporters rose to their feet, but Orlando Araújo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fred Pombal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Orlando Araújo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Pombal having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Suição Football Club's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Per-Olof Pilberg fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Dida de Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robinho Braga struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Olívio Lira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Suição Football Club.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sílvio da Fonseca made a kick off. Fred Pombal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruninho Mangueira in the 55th minute of the match. Per-Olof Pilberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Pombal having to interfere. Fred Pombal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Orlando Araújo's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sílvio da Fonseca in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olívio Lira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Per-Olof Pilberg scored 3-0 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fred Pombal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bruninho Mangueira in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fred Pombal saved Suição Football Club from getting behind. The supporters of Barça de Munich booed when Suição Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimir de Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Orlando Araújo came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Barça de Munich fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orlando Araújo couldn't finish the play. After 73 minutes of play Suição Football Club's Carlos Alberto de Mendonça was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Suição Football Club getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Carlos Alberto de Mendonça hit a great ball. 78 minutes into the match, Barça de Munich's Orlando Araújo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fred Pombal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Suição Football Club's Fred Pombal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per-Olof Pilberg in the 80th minute of play. Barça de Munich's Bruninho Mangueira got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Per-Olof Pilberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Pombal having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Suição Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Araújo came free, but Fred Pombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
