The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Sousas AD booed when Caracituba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Augusto Urbano didn't get a good kick on the ball. The tension between the Sousas AD and the Caracituba players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee gave Caracituba a penalty, 10 minutes into the game. After a defensive mix-up in Sousas AD's zone, Wanderson Neto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Willian da Silva came out of the goal and Wanderson Neto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Richard Vander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Willian da Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute of the match Aírton Braga shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Willian da Silva showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Lucas Paes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Richard Vander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Wanderson Neto notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Sousas AD's Willian da Silva. Willian da Silva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Richard Vander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willian da Silva having to interfere. Wanderson Neto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Willian da Silva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. If Wanderson Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Caracituba booed when Sousas AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mário Fantini didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Sousas AD players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Caracituba were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucas Paes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Sousas AD's Willian da Silva got control of the ball when Wanderson Neto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Caracituba's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
