Romário da Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Meriç Çırağ having to interfere. Meriç Çırağ took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matheus Saldanha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tião Cardoso kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. If Matheus Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 22 played minutes C.R. Carie Profunda got a freekick which was hit by Dudu Vasconcelos. A collision led to Carutapera getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Romário da Fonseca hit a great ball. After 28 played minutes C.R. Carie Profunda got a freekick which was hit by Hans Ambjörnsson. Frédson Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Meriç Çırağ tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Matheus Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Samuca Pitta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. C.R. Carie Profunda's Meriç Çırağ played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frédson Pinho in the 41st minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Walmyr Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carutapera's supporters rose to their feet, but Walmyr Pinheiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Meriç Çırağ breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Matheus Saldanha came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Carutapera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matheus Saldanha couldn't finish the play. After 62 played minutes Carutapera got a freekick which was hit by Walmyr Pinheiro. Samuca Pitta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frédson Pinho got free with Meriç Çırağ in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tião Cardoso charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tião Cardoso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 71st match minute, C.R. Carie Profunda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tião Cardoso to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute Matheus Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Meriç Çırağ saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Carutapera's Walmyr Pinheiro got a free kick in the 77th minute. When Samuca Pitta came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the C.R. Carie Profunda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samuca Pitta couldn't finish the play. In the 82nd minute, Matheus Saldanha fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. C.R. Carie Profunda's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Frédson Pinho scored to the left of an out of position Meriç Çırağ, making the score, 0-2. Diogo Vander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Lúcio Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th match minute, C.R. Carie Profunda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dudu Vasconcelos to maneuver through the defense. The Carutapera players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
