In the 21st match minute, Sport Club Indumetal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conrado Netto to maneuver through the defense. Oscar Vander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvinho Meira in the 30th minute of the match. Silvinho Meira kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Cido Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Renato Trigo having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Caceres's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldo Ramalho came free, but Paulo Renato Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Almeida hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Caceres's Nilson Tróia tried to score from far away in the 44th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Silvinho Meira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Osvaldo Ramalho to make the kick off. Ramón de Toledo might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oscar Vander. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ramón de Toledo ran back to his position shaking his head. Silvinho Meira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ramón de Toledo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 55th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Ramón de Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Oscar Vander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Cido Silva came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Sport Club Indumetal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cido Silva couldn't finish the play. If Ramón de Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cido Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute, Silvinho Meira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Silvinho Meira struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Oscar Vander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caceres. In the 85th minute Osvaldo Ramalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Renato Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ramón de Toledo came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Caceres fans jumped to their feet. Sport Club Indumetal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caceres the free kick.
