Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Emerson Mendes started the match with the kick off. 2 minutes into the game, Ernesto Baiano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Thiago Cerezo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thiago Cerezo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Baiano in the 5th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Waldir Diniz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lins Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Waldir Diniz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thiago Cerezo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Lins Futebol Clube booed when Treorin FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Pedro Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Treorin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jano Alvarenga came free, but Thiago Cerezo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute, Jano Alvarenga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thiago Cerezo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Emerson Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severo Mino having to interfere. A collision led to Lins Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Luís Gustavo de Almeida hit a great ball. In the 31st match minute, Treorin FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Téo Melo to maneuver through the defense. When Jano Alvarenga came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Lins Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jano Alvarenga couldn't finish the play. Geovani Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 46 minutes of play, Lins Futebol Clube's Jano Alvarenga made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thiago Cerezo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Lins Futebol Clube were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Waldir Diniz took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Thiago Cerezo to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Treorin FC's zone, Waldir Diniz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thiago Cerezo came out of the goal and Waldir Diniz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Geovani Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Severo Mino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Lins Futebol Clube's zone, Emerson Mendes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severo Mino came out of the goal and Emerson Mendes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Lins Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Kléber Veloso hit a great ball. Emerson Mendes struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Severo Mino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Treorin FC. Severo Mino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emerson Mendes in the 69th minute of the match. After 70 played minutes Treorin FC got a freekick which was hit by José Pedro Montenegro. Lins Futebol Clube's José Maria Moreira was substituted for Kléber Veloso. The supporters of Lins Futebol Clube booed when Treorin FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benedito Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Severo Mino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Augusto Brito in the 80th minute of play. Glauco Tróia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Severo Mino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Geovani Machado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 90 minutes into the match, Emerson Mendes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Severo Mino. Lins Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emerson Mendes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. When Waldir Diniz came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Lins Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waldir Diniz couldn't finish the play.
