In the 9th minute Carlinhos Teles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Severo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caitete SS's Décio Prado got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 11 played minutes Guaramano got a freekick which was hit by Iuri Vianna. Joaquim Pena charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joaquim Pena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Manoel Gonçalves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emerson de Alcântara in the 55th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Guaramano's goal looked a bit too open when Carlinhos Teles came free, but Nestor Severo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlinhos Teles in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nestor Severo saved Guaramano from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Carlinhos Teles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nestor Severo was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game.
