Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mundau EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ulysses Costa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Mundau EC's zone, Oséias Aguiar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geraldo Vianna came out of the goal and Oséias Aguiar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 43 played minutes Hernani Félix rounded Mundau EC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. Kléberson Cardozo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gonçalo Catarinense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hernani Félix made a kick off. Hernani Félix recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Cuiabazinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oséias Aguiar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oséias Aguiar in the 87th minute of play forced Mundau EC's goalkeeper Geraldo Vianna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caco Tande charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Caco Tande the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 88th match minute, Mundau EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caco Tande to maneuver through the defense. Geraldo Vianna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oséias Aguiar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After recieving a nice pass, Cuiabazinho's Durvalino Simão tried to score from far away in the 95th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Oséias Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
