Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Laerte Penha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deces's supporters rose to their feet, but Laerte Penha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Moisés Castro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Deces booed when Baixinha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cláudio Loureiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dida Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moisés Castro having to interfere. After having played for 16 minutes, Dida Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deces's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dida Lima was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Moisés Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dida Lima in the 18th minute of the match. After 19 minutes, Cláudio Loureiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Baixinha FC and the Deces players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 19th minute, Cláudio Loureiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulo José Peixoto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the match, Deces's goal looked a bit too open when Bruninho da Silveira came free, but Vito Freire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Moisés Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo José Peixoto in the 25th minute of play. Baixinha FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Paulo José Peixoto scored to the left of an out of position Moisés Castro, making the score, 1-0. If Paulo José Peixoto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute Bruninho da Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vito Freire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laerte Penha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Moisés Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dida Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The wind increased when Paulo José Peixoto made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Baixinha FC's goalkeeper Moisés Castro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Baixinha FC's zone, Zé da Cunha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Moisés Castro came out of the goal and Zé da Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dida Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute, Dida Lima got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bruninho da Silveira's late challenge caught a Deces's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bruninho da Silveira helped the player get up and apologised. After 62 played minutes Baixinha FC got a freekick which was hit by Bruninho da Silveira. An unexpectedly hard shot by Percival de Medeiros in the 65th minute of play forced Baixinha FC's goalkeeper Moisés Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Douglas de Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Deces had played much better football throughout.
