After a defensive mix-up in Família Futebol Clube's zone, Erivaldo Lira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabiano Tróia came out of the goal and Erivaldo Lira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot by Rômulo Saldanha from long distance, 6 minutes into the match, got Luiz Fabiano Mello's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Luiz Fabiano Mello made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ediberto de Castro in the 9th minute. After having played for 12 minutes, Guto Paraibano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IBAvasco F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Guto Paraibano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Erivaldo Lira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. IBAvasco F.C.'s Luiz Fabiano Mello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Torres in the 18th minute of play. If Guto Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Erivaldo Lira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabiano Tróia was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erivaldo Lira in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabiano Tróia saved Família Futebol Clube from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Erivaldo Lira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabiano Tróia was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Rodrigo Torres hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erivaldo Lira in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabiano Tróia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Erivaldo Lira made the kick off in the second half. Erivaldo Lira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erivaldo Lira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Fabiano Tróia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rony Pena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of IBAvasco F.C. booed when Família Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ediberto de Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erivaldo Lira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabiano Tróia having to interfere. Erivaldo Lira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Fabiano Tróia when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 88th minute Erivaldo Lira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabiano Tróia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erivaldo Lira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabiano Tróia having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Erivaldo Lira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th minute, Edu Rocha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match was over IBAvasco F.C. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Família Futebol Clube throughout the match.
