In the 24th match minute, MELBOURNE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wanderson Domingues to maneuver through the defense. Agostinho Vergílio struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Jacinto Torrijo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Madrid Football Club. Agostinho Vergílio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Oséias Dracena came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Madrid Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oséias Dracena couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Oséias Dracena kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jacinto Torrijo. That made the score 1-1 in the 36 minute of play. Agostinho Vergílio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Jacinto Torrijo made a huge save. Kim Hellström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Jacinto Torrijo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Agostinho Vergílio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oséias Dracena stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55thth minute of the game Oséias Dracena who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MELBOURNE's Jacinto Torrijo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Madrid Football Club's Oséias Dracena in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Oséias Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Madrid Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Oséias Dracena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacinto Torrijo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Rômulo Oliveira was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 94 minutes had been played. Rômulo Oliveira kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Madrid Football Club's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
