Olavo Varela started the match with the kick off. Kaká Vinhas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cássio Corrêa, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luiz Eduardo de Castro in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jefferson Mineiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jefferson Mineiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitório Mello in the 20th minute of play. If Vitório Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olavo Varela struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Kaká Vinhas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lapinha FC. If Igor Severo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kaká Vinhas made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Igor Severo sent off a good shot on target. In the 43rd minute, Lapinha FC's Igor Severo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vitório Mello to make the kick off. Igor Severo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Kaká Vinhas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Luiz Eduardo de Castro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jefferson Mineiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. MARMANDUKE FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lapinha FC the free kick. Elói Castro hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Olavo Varela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaká Vinhas having to interfere. Olavo Varela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Olavo Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olavo Varela might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kaká Vinhas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Olavo Varela ran back to his position shaking his head. Kaká Vinhas came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Lapinha FC's Olavo Varela. But to his dismay, Olavo Varela quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Lapinha FC's Jefferson Mineiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Lapinha FC from getting a goal against them. Luiz Eduardo de Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Jefferson Mineiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lapinha FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
