Spectators: 7101 (Terracing: 5457, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Osvaldinho Abreu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Giovani Mineiro came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Uaua fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giovani Mineiro couldn't finish the play. In the 24th minute Giovani Mineiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldinho Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, Dudu Braga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Osvaldinho Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giovani Mineiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dudu Braga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Osvaldinho Abreu came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Uaua's Edmílson Paranaense. But to his dismay, Edmílson Paranaense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Erik Maia didn't quite understand what happened when in the 58 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. 60 minutes into the match, Ibitioca's goalkeeper Osvaldinho Abreu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dudu Braga.
