The Valeria FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rony Teles should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hamílton Silveira during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 29 played minutes Orienta got a freekick which was hit by Hamílton Silveira. Eriberto Botelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernardo dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rony Teles having to interfere. Valeria FC's Rony Teles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo dos Santos in the 42nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Orienta's Dorival Travassos got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Franklin Félix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Guilherme de Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Rony Teles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dorival Travassos's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. The Valeria FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Orienta were winning 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Guilherme de Lara was the one to do the kick off. Eriberto Botelho struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Franklin Félix didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Valeria FC. Umberto de Amaral hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After having played for 63 minutes, Dorival Travassos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Orienta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dorival Travassos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valeria FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 70th minute, when Dorival Travassos scored to the left of an out of position Rony Teles, making the score, 0-4. Dorival Travassos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rony Teles having to interfere. Tostão Guimarães kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. When Diego Nogueira came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Orienta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Nogueira couldn't finish the play. Diego Nogueira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rony Teles. Valeria FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 86th minute Eriberto Botelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franklin Félix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelo Barral kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Franklin Félix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eriberto Botelho in the 91st minute of play. 91 minutes into the game, Valeria FC's Eriberto Botelho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Franklin Félix made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. The throw-in from Angelo Barral in the 95th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Orienta's Hamílton Silveira. Orienta's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
