With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gabriel Vergílio in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Richard Montenegro saved Cinzas AD from getting behind. With a little luck, Santos FC's Manfredo Machado got control of the ball when Leopoldo Souto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Breno Linhares kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Richard Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaká Arantes in the 30th minute of play. If Gabriel Vergílio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manfredo Machado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leopoldo Souto in the 35th minute. Gino Bertassi charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gino Bertassi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Santos FC booed when Cinzas AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gino Bertassi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manfredo Machado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kléber Brodel in the 40th minute. In the 44th minute, Edgard da Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute, Leopoldo Souto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cinzas AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gabriel Vergílio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Vergílio got free with Richard Montenegro in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Richard Montenegro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gabriel Vergílio's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Manfredo Machado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andrézinho Lira went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Cinzas AD walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
