Spectators: 7236 (Terracing: 5429, Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 143) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Cafu Correia got the match started through his kick off. When Zézinho Simão came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Mustangs United Football fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zézinho Simão couldn't finish the play. In the 7th minute Zézinho Simão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olívio França saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute Emílio Maranhense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olívio França saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emílio Maranhense got free with Olívio França in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 21 minutes into the match, U.R.T's goal looked a bit too open when Zézinho Simão came free, but Olívio França reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Cido Amaral had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olívio França. U.R.T's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cido Amaral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Emílio Maranhense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Olívio França made a huge save. In the 32nd match minute, U.R.T was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cafu Correia to maneuver through the defense. Emílio Maranhense's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Olívio França firmly grabbed it by the left post. Olívio França took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zézinho Simão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute, Emílio Maranhense made a precise shot to the right of Olívio França. U.R.T's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Cafu Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Valério de Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zézinho Simão was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, U.R.T's goal looked a bit too open when Zézinho Simão came free, but Olívio França reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zézinho Simão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olívio França having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emílio Maranhense in the 59th minute of play forced U.R.T's goalkeeper Olívio França to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zézinho Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zézinho Simão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Emílio Maranhense's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olívio França was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Zézinho Simão took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olívio França. Olívio França dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Mustangs United Football's Zézinho Simão got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Olívio França showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zézinho Simão, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Olívio França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emílio Maranhense in the 86th minute of play. Emílio Maranhense blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Olívio França having to make a save. Olívio França showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zézinho Simão, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Mustangs United Football fully deserved thier win.
