Capivari SS's Rômulo Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilton Guimarães in the 9th minute of play. After 11 played minutes Capivari SS got a freekick which was hit by Dráuzio Leão. After recieving a nice pass, Ipu's Cristian Lucas tried to score from far away in the 12th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 16th minute, Giuseppe Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute, Cristian Lucas sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Capivari SS's Rômulo Esteves didn't even have to move. Rômulo Esteves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wilton Guimarães's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Rômulo Esteves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilton Guimarães in the 21st minute. João Augusto Sabóia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomás Trancoso in the 24th minute of play. When Wilton Guimarães came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Ipu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilton Guimarães couldn't finish the play. Wilton Guimarães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. João Augusto Sabóia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomás Trancoso in the 34th minute of play. Naldo Maciel was extremely unlucky when he, in the 35th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Rômulo Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilton Guimarães in the 37th minute of the match. If Thomás Trancoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Naldo Maciel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Capivari SS's Arthur Salgado got a free kick in the 47th minute. When Wilton Guimarães came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Ipu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilton Guimarães couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Thomás Trancoso made the kick off in the second half. Naldo Maciel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Capivari SS's Rômulo Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Naldo Maciel in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomás Trancoso in the 61st minute of play forced Ipu's goalkeeper João Augusto Sabóia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rômulo Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Naldo Maciel in the 65th minute of the match. João Augusto Sabóia made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Osvaldinho Neves sent off a good shot on target. Naldo Maciel's late challenge caught a Capivari SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Naldo Maciel helped the player get up and apologised. The long shot by Giuseppe Senna in the 74th minute really tested João Augusto Sabóia's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Naldo Maciel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the match, Capivari SS's goal looked a bit too open when Naldo Maciel came free, but Rômulo Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thomás Trancoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Augusto Sabóia having to interfere. Thomás Trancoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Capivari SS booed when Ipu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinei de Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute of the match Rafael Cabral sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but João Augusto Sabóia skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Ipu booed when Capivari SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wellington de Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ipu were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
