Aílton Mangueira's late challenge caught a Palestra Brasil's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aílton Mangueira helped the player get up and apologised. Aílton Mangueira hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Palestra Brasil's Tomé Albuquerque shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 12th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Flavinho Lara but with some difficulty. In the 24th minute Wilton Meira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavinho Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Wilton Meira notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of ÊXODOS FC's Flavinho Lara. Flavinho Lara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Palestra Brasil's Wilton Meira got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Flavinho Lara made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augusto Terra in the 37th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Palestra Brasil's zone, Marquinhos Rodrigues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osvaldinho Goiano came out of the goal and Marquinhos Rodrigues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 44 played minutes ÊXODOS FC got a freekick which was hit by João Paulo Trigo. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by André Toscano during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. André Toscano hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

If Wilton Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute Wilton Meira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavinho Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Diamantino Vergílio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gilson Secco, 64 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After some careless play in the Palestra Brasil defense, Cláudio de Brito kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Osvaldinho Goiano. The Palestra Brasil fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Osvaldinho Goiano should have stopped the shot. Osvaldinho Goiano came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by ÊXODOS FC's Marquinhos Rodrigues. But to his dismay, Marquinhos Rodrigues quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. Luisinho Fontes kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Marquinhos Rodrigues in the 82ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Osvaldinho Goiano, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Alberto Paiva charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alberto Paiva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 83rd minute, Alberto Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Flavinho Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilton Meira in the 87th minute of the match. The throw-in from Alberto Paiva in the 91st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Palestra Brasil's Tarcisio Vinhas. In the 96thth minute of the game Wilton Meira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ÊXODOS FC's Flavinho Lara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
