The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Humberto Castel came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Vicencia SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Castel couldn't finish the play. When Vicencia SC's Humberto Castel in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Banqueta FC's goalie prevented a goal. After 29 played minutes Banqueta FC got a freekick which was hit by Doriva Costa. Fabiano Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romário Maranhense having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Humberto Castel notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Banqueta FC's Fabrício Silveira. Fabrício Silveira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 38th match minute, Banqueta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guga Falcão to maneuver through the defense. Narciso Furtado's late challenge caught a Vicencia SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Narciso Furtado helped the player get up and apologised. Narciso Furtado struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Romário Maranhense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Banqueta FC.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Humberto Castel was the one to do the kick off. Bror Johnsson came free with the goalkeeper in the 51st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fabrício Silveira could save by the left post. Rodrigo Coelho's late challenge caught a Banqueta FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodrigo Coelho helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Vicencia SC's Rodrigo Coelho got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Maurício Moreno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Banqueta FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Maurício Moreno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romário Maranhense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Romário Maranhense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabiano Duarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maurício Moreno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Romário Maranhense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Bror Johnsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vicencia SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bror Johnsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
