In the 10th minute, Juan Romero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Flamengo VM fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilson de Amaral got free with 刘义泉 in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Juan Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomé Leite having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, one of Itapore AD:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Itapore AD. Tomé Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Romero in the 26th minute of the match. Tomé Leite stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juan Romero's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. The audience was convinced that Juan Romero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomé Leite was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. In the 34th match minute, Flamengo VM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacobo Acuña to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan Romero in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomé Leite saved Itapore AD from getting behind. A collision led to Itapore AD getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Durval Queirós hit a great ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Itapore AD fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 46th minute. Penalty! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Jacobo Acuña kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. With a little luck, Itapore AD's Tomé Leite got control of the ball when Juan Romero tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Flamengo VM getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Raí Gerber hit a great ball. After having played for 69 minutes, Juan Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flamengo VM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juan Romero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Juan Romero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 72 played minutes Flamengo VM got a freekick which was hit by Raí Gerber. Raí Gerber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Juan Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Juan Romero in the 81st play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Tomé Leite kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 0-4 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. When Flamengo VM's Juan Romero in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Itapore AD's goalie prevented a goal. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Flavinho Pinheiro took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Tomé Leite to make any attempt to save it. 92 minutes into the match, Juan Romero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tomé Leite. Itapore AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juan Romero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Flavinho Pinheiro struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Tomé Leite didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flamengo VM. Frédson Gaúcho's late challenge caught a Flamengo VM's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frédson Gaúcho helped the player get up and apologised. Frédson Gaúcho kicked well hit freekick during the 99th minute of the match. In the 100th minute, Itapore AD's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Juan Romero fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Flamengo VM's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
