After a rather tough play, Villas Matilde Football's Severino da Rocha got a free kick in the 20th minute. André Luís Ramalho's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Rômulo Dante skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Claudinho de Sena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egídio da Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the match, Villas Matilde Football's goal looked a bit too open when Egídio da Costa came free, but Claudinho de Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dedê Tasso charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The audience thought a goal was coming when André Luís Ramalho got free with Rômulo Dante in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dário de Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Doriva Velasco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that André Luís Ramalho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rômulo Dante was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game.
