When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Luís Fábio Pereira sped through Mirary EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sérgio Teixeira. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmílson Queiroz in the 24th minute of play forced Anuan FC's goalkeeper César Coutinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cipriano Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without César Coutinho having to interfere. After some careless play in the Mirary EC defense, Luís Fábio Pereira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sérgio Teixeira. The Mirary EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sérgio Teixeira should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Reginaldo Velloso kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sérgio Teixeira. That made the score 3-0 in the 42 minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Mirary EC's goal looked a bit too open when Guilherme Neves came free, but Sérgio Teixeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 48 minutes into the match, Anuan FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edmílson Queiroz came free, but César Coutinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edmílson Queiroz was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th match minute, Anuan FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramón Saraiva to maneuver through the defense. Válter Silva was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 57th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Edmílson Queiroz, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 73 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The César Coutinho was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Anuan FC's César Coutinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Anuan FC from getting a goal against them.
