Kléberson Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei da Rocha having to interfere. Benedito Cavalcante didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from César Bastos went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Musquiada FC's Benedito Cavalcante proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Musquiada FC from getting a goal against them. In the 33rd minute Denílson Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedito Cavalcante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 34 minutes, César Bastos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Alagoano's supporters crossed their fingers, but César Bastos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. José Carlos Terra took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benedito Cavalcante. Benedito Cavalcante dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Musquiada FC's goalkeeper Benedito Cavalcante, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If César Bastos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kléberson Freitas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Claudinho Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Atlético Alagoano booed when Musquiada FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leandro Félix didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benedito Cavalcante showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Musquiada FC's zone, César Bastos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benedito Cavalcante came out of the goal and César Bastos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 60 minutes in the game, César Bastos dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. A collision led to Musquiada FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Claudinho Reis hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by César Bastos in the 66th minute of play forced Musquiada FC's goalkeeper Benedito Cavalcante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. César Bastos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Musquiada FC's Benedito Cavalcante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toader Homeag in the 73rd minute of play. César Bastos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Benedito Cavalcante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 81 minutes, Claudinei Andrade mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Musquiada FC and the Atlético Alagoano players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Atlético Alagoano booed when Musquiada FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinei Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. 84 minutes into the game, Atlético Alagoano's José Carlos Terra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benedito Cavalcante made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Benedito Cavalcante stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of César Bastos's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Armin Capaldo kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Claudinho Castro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Claudinei da Rocha made a huge save. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Atlético Alagoano had played much better football throughout.
