The goalkeeper, Bruninho Proença, was totally fooled by Atlético Alagoano's Armin Capaldo, who 14 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Claudinei da Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandro Albuquerque in the 18th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Maneco FC's zone, César Bastos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruninho Proença came out of the goal and César Bastos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 34thth minute of the game César Bastos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maneco FC's Bruninho Proença was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Toader Homeag blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bruninho Proença having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Toader Homeag managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Alagoano's supporters rose to their feet, but Toader Homeag was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruninho Proença breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 3-0 when César Bastos sped through Maneco FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bruninho Proença. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Bruninho Proença showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armin Capaldo in the 62nd minute of the match. 66 minutes into the game, César Bastos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Bruninho Proença was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Maneco FC defense, César Bastos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bruninho Proença. The Maneco FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruninho Proença should have stopped the shot. After 80th play minutes César Bastos shot 6-1, a short shot which went by Bruninho Proença and just under the crossbar into goal. César Bastos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
