The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Braga during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Igarense's João Braga got a free kick in the 9th minute. Duarte Madureira made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Luiz Fabiano Neves sent off a good shot on target. Duarte Madureira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 34 minutes into the match, Igarense's goal looked a bit too open when Isaltino Lara came free, but Duarte Madureira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Isaltino Lara dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Duarte Madureira, 2-0. Duarte Madureira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nestor da Silva in the 38th minute. After 70 minutes of play Igarense's João Braga was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Igarense's João Braga got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 74th minute, Isaltino Lara left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Flexal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaltino Lara in the 78th minute of play forced Igarense's goalkeeper Duarte Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Duarte Madureira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor da Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After a rather tough play, Igarense's Edgard Tavares got a free kick in the 86th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Flexal had played much better football throughout.
